We are starting up Twilight Cricket back at The Ave this summer! 

Love cricket but can’t sacrifice a whole Saturday to play the beautiful game? Then Twilight @ The Ave is perfect for you! This short 8-a-side format is the perfect opportunity to get the old willow out and smash a few over the boundary.

Running on Monday evenings at Michaels Ave Pre Christmas, it’s a great choice for those wanting to enjoy cricket without having to block out a whole day. Teams will play one game a week starting at 5:30pm that will last approximately 60 - 90 mins. So enter a business team or grab a bunch of your mates and join now!

You can either enter a full team of 8 or as an individual and we will do our best to find you a team!

Games will start at 5:30pm at Michaels Ave Reserve, Ellerslie

COST

$300 per team

TO ENTER

First the team organiser will need to contact our Club Manager. Email: manager@ellersliecricket.co.nz

All members will need to register through PlayHq.

CANCELLATIONS

Decisions on cancellations for bad weather will be made prior to 5 o’clock on a Monday and captains will be texted and e-mailed. Cancelled games will be postponed to the end of the tournament, if possible.

GEAR

All games are played on Astroturf. No Spikes are allowed.

Gear can be provided by Ellerslie CC if needed.

RULES & TEAM POINTS

Sunset Smash Rules >

  • 2 points for a win
  • 1 point for a tie
  • 0.5 bonus point, if a team wins by more than half the required runs or 3 wickets (retirements count as wickets)
  • Should a team be forced to concede one week they will be deducted a point and their opposition will receive the full 2.5 points.
