Premier

Ellerslie 101 in 40.4 LOSTto Auckland University 103/0 in 13.3 by 10 wickets.

Auckland University had little trouble overcoming local rivals Ellerslie at Michaels Avenue to keep their semi-final hopes alive for another week.

Two heavy showers delayed the start of play until 12.15, but Uni bowlers Warren Barnes (3-13) and Richard Sillars (3-16) then made up for lost time as the home side slumped to 22-5.  A mini fight back was staged in the middle overs, but it was only enough to see Ellerslie claw their way up to 101, extras top scoring with 24.
